Hit the (3) “Ok”-button and get ready for some quality time with the XBee.(Still can’t see it?: Are you sure you have installed the FTDI drivers?) If you can’t see it there, press the “Re-Scan Serial Ports”-button. The name is something like usbserial-AD025ES5. Under “Serial Port Option” (2) press the “Port”-dropdown menu and choose your Explorer. Open CoolTerm and (1) press the “Option” button.Place one of your XBee’s in the Explorer board, and connect it to your computer with a USB cable.There are different ways to do this, but I found the easiest way is to use CoolTerm. Wireless communication is still one of the coolest things I know of, and it opens up for so many possibilities! I will therefore, in this tutorial, show you how to setup and communicate wirelessly between two XBee’s Series 1. There may be some tutorial out there now, but with this I want to give back to the internet what it has given me almost every time I can’t figure something out a tutorial. I used a lot of time searching the web for a good tutorial, just to find out there wasn’t any. I remember when I first was trying to setup wireless connection between two Arduino’s back in 2010.
